Carteret County Health Department Generator Replacement RFP

Background
Carteret County Government is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the replacement of a generator at the Health Department. The goal of this contract is to ensure reliable power supply through the installation of a new generator, enhancing the operational capabilities of the Health Department located at 3820 Bridges Street, Morehead City, NC.

Work Details
The contractor will replace a 100KW liquid propane (LP) fueled generator. The current generator is a Generac model with specific serial and engine numbers. The contractor's responsibilities include:

- Furnishing and installing a new 100 KW compatible generator.
- Safely disconnecting all electrical, fuel, and control connections to dispose of the existing generator.
- Setting and connecting the new generator to the existing LP tank, electrical systems, and automatic transfer switch (ATS).
- Ensuring all connections are leak-free and weather-tight.
- Replacing existing fuel lines and conduits if necessary.
- Performing manufacturer-required testing for functionality.
- Providing training on operation and maintenance to County personnel.
- Submitting equipment submittals with estimated lead times with their proposal.

Work should not disrupt normal business operations unless scheduled outside regular hours.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall commence work on a date specified in a written order from Carteret County and must complete all work within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Carteret County Health Department located at 3820 Bridges Street, Morehead City, NC 28557.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must provide their W-9 form along with current Certificates of Insurance for public liability, property damage, and Workers’ Compensation. Certificates must list 'Carteret County Government' as additionally insured. Contractors must also comply with North Carolina's E-Verify requirements and provide an Iran Divestment Act Certification.
