Background
Carteret County Government is seeking competitive proposals for the renovation of the Board of Elections located at 1702 Live Oak Street, Suite 200, Beaufort, NC 28516. The goal of this project is to enhance accessibility and functionality through specific renovations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Storefront Detail:
- Remove existing double doors and framing.
- Install an ADA compliant counter integrated with a new storefront system, including all necessary sheetrock work, framing, painting, trim, and modifications.
- The storefront system will feature two service areas with pass-through windows made of aluminum non-ballistic speak-throughs and 1/4” tempered storefront glass.

2. Countertop Detail:
- Countertop dimensions are specified to be approximately 35 inches from the finished floor, extending 2 feet into the hallway and 1 foot into the office area.
- All edges will be bullnosed except where it ties into the wall, supported by wooden brackets.

3. Door Detail:
- Remove the right-side window and install a 36”x82” flat faced metal exit only door with a crash bar inside the office, painted to match existing colors.

4. Office Area General Detail:
- Install new 8-inch black vinyl cove base where missing after storefront installation; remove existing motion sensor and emergency exit sign; relocate emergency exit wiring for new signage.

5. Hallway Area General Detail:
- Add new 1”x8” wooden trim with shoe molding where missing after storefront installation, painted to match existing colors.

Period of Performance
The work shall be performed outside normal business hours as scheduled by the County Point of Contact (POC).

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must provide a W-9 form and current Certificates of Insurance for public liability, property damage, and Workers’ Compensation listing 'Carteret County Government' as additionally insured. The contractor must guarantee materials and workmanship against defects for twelve months post-acceptance of work.
