The Carrington Hall Renewal and Addition Project is initiated by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, specifically under the Academic Affairs division. The project aims to enhance the School of Nursing facilities through renovations and new construction.

The public meeting serves to discuss preferred brand alternates for specific components of the project, ensuring that performance standards are met and cost savings are achieved.

Work Details
The project will consider the following preferred brand alternates:

A. Automatic Transfer Switch (ATC) - ASCO Power Technologies;
B. Building Automation System (BAS) - Schneider Electric;
C. Fire Alarm System - NOTIFIER, a division of Honeywell;
D. Door Hardware - Corbin Russwin;
E. Overhead Coiling Fire Shutters - McKEON;
F. Vertically-Retractable Folding Panel Partitions - Skyfold, Inc.;
G. High-Performance Coatings - Scuffmaster.

Each alternate must meet specific performance standards approved by the owner in an open meeting, with justifications made available to the public prior to the bid date.
