Cardboard Waste Hauling and Disposal Services for State Facilities in Wake County

Background
The North Carolina Department of Administration, Facility Management Division (FMD) is responsible for providing cardboard waste removal provisions for state buildings located in Raleigh/Wake County. The goal of this contract is to maintain an efficient cardboard waste removal service, ensuring that all state agencies comply with NC Statute § 130A-309.14, which mandates access to recycling containers for aluminum cans, high-grade office paper, and corrugated cardboard.

The FMD's mission is to provide a safe and healthful work environment in a cost-effective and energy-efficient manner.

Work Details
The awarded vendor will provide the following services:
- Rental of ten (10) thirty (30) yard roll-off type cardboard collection units with cable wench for the collection of cardboard waste generated by state agencies in the Raleigh/Wake County region.
- Hauling and recycling the collected cardboard in compliance with federal, state, city, and municipal guidelines.

The vendor shall retain all revenue generated from the recycling of cardboard.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of one (1) year starting from May 1, 2025, with options for two (2) additional one-year renewals at the State's discretion.

Services will be performed at various locations in Raleigh/Wake County, including but not limited to:
- Albemarle Building
- Archdale Building
- Caswell Building
- Phillips Building
- Parking Lot #18
- Museum Of Art
- NC State Lab of Public Health.
