Background
The Cleveland County Schools, a nonprofit Child Nutrition Program, is seeking proposals for the cleaning and safety inspections of school cafeteria hood systems. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all operations align with the objectives of the School Food Authority (SFA) and comply with federal regulations.
Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for providing annual hood system cleanings and bi-annual safety inspections at 29 school cafeterias. The services must adhere to federal regulations and state statutes, ensuring that all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
The vendor must provide assurances that all operations will be consistent with the goals of the SFA's Child Nutrition Program. All cleanings and inspections must occur between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., unless otherwise approved by the Director of Child Nutrition. Monthly statements are to be sent to the Director of Child Nutrition, detailing services rendered, and invoices must reflect accurate information as specified in the RFP.
Period of Performance
The contract is intended to commence on or about July 1, 2026, and continue until June 30, 2027. There is an option for Cleveland County Schools to extend this contract for up to four additional one-year periods.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within Cleveland County Schools in Shelby, North Carolina.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with all applicable standards and regulations as outlined in the RFP, including criminal background checks on employees who will engage in services on school property. Vendors must provide documentation confirming that background checks have been conducted prior to hiring employees.
