Cabinets and Countertops Replacement Project for Facility Upgrade

Background
The State of North Carolina, through the Department of Adult Correction, is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified vendors for the replacement of cabinets and countertops at Tyrrell Prison Work Farm.

The purpose of this solicitation is to enhance the facility's functionality and aesthetics by upgrading essential fixtures in various locations including the gate house, control rooms, employee break room, and offices. This project aligns with the agency's mission to maintain safe and efficient correctional facilities.

Work Details
The contract involves the following specific tasks and requirements:
1. **Cabinet Replacement**: Furnish and deliver replacement cabinets for multiple locations including the gate house, central control room, west control room, east control room, and various offices. Specifications include:
- Cabinet color: Gray
- Construction: Solid wood doors with laminated bottoms, solid wood backs and shelves, soft close full extension guides, soft closed concealed door hinges.
- Measurements to be confirmed at a mandatory site visit.

2. **Hardware Supply**: Provide hardware for cabinets and countertops in all rooms with a silver color finish.

3. **Countertop Replacement**: Furnish and deliver replacement countertops for designated areas with specifications including:
- Countertop color: Beige & gray marble
- Features: Self-edge of 4” or more as needed; templated and seamed onsite; premium laminate counters with solid wood core; existing sink and faucet to be reused.

4. **Demolition & Installation**: Demolish existing cabinets and countertops; install new replacements; dispose of waste and clean up post-installation. All installations must be completed to ensure readiness for use.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence upon receipt of a purchase order and must be completed within fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days after receipt.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at Tyrrell Prison Work Farm located at 620 Snell Road, Columbia, NC 27925.
