Bulk Solar Salt Supply and Delivery for Water Treatment Plant (2024 2027)

Background
The City of Havelock is seeking bids for the supply and delivery of Bulk Solar Salt for its Water Treatment Plant. The contract aims to ensure a consistent supply of water treatment-grade salt, which is crucial for the city's water system operations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Bulk Solar Salt (Water Plant Grade, not suitable for road application) delivered in approximately 25-ton loads via pneumatic truck to the water plant located in Havelock, NC.

The pricing must be fixed and firm, expressed per ton, inclusive of all freight and delivery charges. The estimated usage is between 2-3 truckloads (50-75 tons) per month, totaling approximately 600-900 tons over the contract period depending on demand.

Delivery must occur during the water treatment plant's operational hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Bids must include an itemized schedule detailing quantity, unit price, and total cost for each work element. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a copy of their Standard 'Certificate of Analysis' for Bulk Solar Salt Grade and indicate standard delivery times from requisition.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective upon award and will remain in effect until June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the City of Havelock's Water Treatment Plant located in Havelock, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with North Carolina General Statutes §143-131 and submit an E-Verify Affidavit with their bid. Out-of-state vendors must have a Certificate of Authority to Transact Business in North Carolina.

For projects exceeding $30,000, a general contractor’s license is required. Bidders must also ensure compliance with the Iran Divestment Act and Companies Boycotting Israel Act.
