Britt Building Interior Renovation and Conversion to Nursing/EMT Training Facilities

Background
Johnston Community College is seeking bids for the renovation of the Britt Building located on its campus in Smithfield, North Carolina. The goal of this contract is to transform the existing space from a welding lab into nursing and EMT training labs and classrooms, thereby enhancing the educational facilities available to students.

Work Details
The project involves partial interior renovation that includes architectural reconfiguration as well as structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades. Specific tasks include modifying the existing layout to accommodate new training labs and classrooms for nursing and EMT programs.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to be completed by March 26th, 2026.

Place of Performance
The renovation will take place at the Britt Building on the Johnston Community College campus located at 245 College Rd, Smithfield, NC 27577.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with County of Johnston MBE policies and North Carolina Statute 143-128.2 (c). Additionally, bidders must certify that they are not listed on the Final Divestment List maintained by the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer as per the Iran Divestment Act of 2015. A bid security of 5% is required, along with performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract amount.
