Description

The Project Management Department is accepting bids for the ADA Route Travel of Hillsdale Park. Questions about this bid should be directed to Mike Watson, Project Coordinator via email: mwatson@greenvillenc.gov.
Background
The City of Greenville, NC is issuing a bid for the ADA Route of Travel project at Hillsdale Park. The Project Management Department aims to enhance accessibility in public spaces, aligning with their mission to provide inclusive facilities for all citizens. This project specifically focuses on constructing an ADA-compliant sidewalk and curb ramp to ensure safe and accessible routes within the park.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to grade, prepare, and install a new ADA-compliant sidewalk and curb ramp at Hillsdale Park. The sidewalk will be four (4) feet wide and installed per ADA requirements. The work must adhere to industry standards and comply with OSHA safety guidelines. Specific tasks include:
- Installation of a sidewalk and curb ramp.
- Sidewalk (pad) dimensions: five (5) feet wide extending one (1) foot past the grill post.
- Running slope of the sidewalk shall not exceed 1:20 (5%) and cross slope not exceed 1:48 (2%).
- Curb ramp maximum running slope shall not exceed 1:12 (8.33%) with a maximum cross slope of 1:48 (2%).
- All debris associated with the project must be removed offsite.
- A two-year warranty on all labor and materials is required.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence within 15 days of the purchase order date and must be completed within 15 days from the start date, weather permitting.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the City of Greenville's Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) Program goals of 10% MBE and 6% WBE participation. All new vendors must register with the City’s online portal prior to rendering goods or services. Additionally, bidders are required to provide proof of insurance coverage including Workers’ Compensation Insurance, Commercial General Liability, Commercial Automobile Liability, Professional Liability, Builders Risk Coverage, and must include the City as an Additional Insured.
