Bid Proposal for Aluminum Box Culvert and Structural Plate Headwalls

Background
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to obtain pricing from vendors for the furnishing, delivery, and assembly of Aluminum Box Culverts with Aluminum Structural Plate Headwalls. This contract aims to support Division 7 Bridge Maintenance and is intended as a one-time purchase.

Work Details
The vendor is required to provide:
- One Aluminum Box Culvert with a span of 25’-4” and rise of 9’-5”, constructed from 0.150” thick aluminum, fully welded at a 90-degree angle.
- The structure must be 49’-6” wide x 11’-8” high with a metal thickness of 0.200”.
- Two internal aluminum trapezoidal baffles reinforced.
- Six galvanized steel wire forms measuring 15” x 18” x 10’ long for foundation support.
- All necessary hardware including wale beams, caps, gaskets, tieback rods with dead man anchor plates, and PE stamped drawings.
- The vendor must assemble the structure in its final designed location and elevation according to the specifications outlined in the IFB.
- The assembly must be completed within one working day after the agreed assembly date, following continuous work protocols due to erosion control requirements.

Period of Performance
The vendor must have the Aluminum Box Culvert ready for shipment within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days after receipt of the purchase order. Delivery must occur within two (2) consecutive calendar days prior to the agreed assembly date.

Place of Performance
The delivery location is specified as SR 1005 Greensboro/Chapel Hill Rd., Alamance County, NC.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be registered as North Carolina vendors in good standing and provide their eVP (Electronic Vendor Portal) number. They are required to comply with HUB participation goals by utilizing at least 10% diverse firms as subcontractors. Additionally, vendors must submit a signed statement from the manufacturer confirming authorization to distribute or resell products offered in this IFB.
