Aviation Center at Cameron Campus - Phase I Commissioning Authority Services for New Space

Background
The Guilford Technical Community College is seeking commissioning authority services for the design and construction phase of the Aviation Center at Cameron Campus – Phase I project. The new space will consolidate GTCC's aviation program at the Cameron Campus, providing 70,000 square feet of new space for offices, classrooms, labs, and storage. The project will tie into the existing central energy plant and site utilities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes design and construction phase commissioning services for the 70,000 square feet of new space. The commissioning shall be per SCO guidelines and applicable general statutes. The Commissioning Authority will be selected based on specialized or appropriate expertise in the type of project, past performance on similar projects, adequate staff and proposed commissioning team for the project, current workload and State projects awarded, proposed commissioning approach for the project including commissioning team and consultants, recent experience with project costs and schedules, project administration capabilities, proximity to and familiarity with the area where the project is located, record of successfully completed projects without major legal or technical problems, and other factors that may be appropriate for the project.

Period of Performance
Letters of Interest will be received until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024.
The estimated total construction budget is $27,739,010.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Guilford Technical Community College – Campus Operations Bldg., Office 1136, 1003 Bonner Drive, Jamestown, NC 27282.
