Asphalt Resurfacing Services for Fiscal Year 2025

Background
The City of Asheville is issuing a solicitation for asphalt resurfacing services as part of their fiscal year 2025 initiatives.
The project aims to enhance the infrastructure by resurfacing selected roads throughout the city, which aligns with the city's mission to maintain and improve public roadways for safety and accessibility.

Work Details
The work includes the following tasks: milling existing asphalt, patching, utility adjustments, concrete repair, installation of ADA ramps, installation of asphalt curbs, and paving.
The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets the required standards and specifications set forth by the City of Asheville.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence after the bid opening on May 15, 2025, with specific construction start dates to be determined based on the award process.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed on selected roads throughout the City of Asheville, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess current North Carolina General Contractor licenses with appropriate classifications for all work involved in this project.
Additionally, bidders are required to provide proof of MWBE status if applicable and must comply with the Asheville Business Inclusion Policy.
A performance bond and a payment bond equal to 100% of the contract amount will be required from the successful bidder.
All bids must include a deposit equal to 5% of the bid proposal in cash or via a bid bond.
