Description

Aluminum Structural Plate Pipe Arch with Aluminum Structural Plate Headwalls Inlet and Outlet
Background
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to procure Aluminum Structural Plate Pipe Arch with Aluminum Structural Plate Headwalls Inlet and Outlet for a pipe replacement project in Duplin County, specifically on SR1714 Potters Hill Loop Rd. This project is necessary due to a pipe failure that has caused washouts and roadway collapse. The goal of this contract is to ensure the timely delivery and assembly of the specified materials to maintain infrastructure integrity.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following items:

1 EA Aluminum Structural Plate Pipe Arch measuring 11'9" Span x 7'2" Rise, consisting of 2 EA - 6.75 LF stubs .200" thick with Type 4 ribs spaced at 9", reinforced with Type 6 ribs; and 31.5 LF of 0.150" thick material with Type 2 ribs spaced at 27".

Additionally, the contractor will supply:

- 1 EA - 10.75' Tall x 31.25' x 0.200" Thick Aluminum Structural Plate Headwall with two various height wing walls (4.5' long on the inlet end)
- Another headwall measuring 10.75' Tall x 36' Long x 0.200" Thick on the outlet end.

The bid must also include one roll of Tensar TX geogrid or equivalent, along with all necessary hardware and materials for assembly, including wale beams, caps, gaskets, tieback rods, anchors, lugs, inserts, and adjustable turnbuckles as per AASHTO specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence upon receipt of the purchase order and must be completed within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days for delivery and within two (2) working days for assembly after an agreed-upon date.

Place of Performance
The delivery location is specified as Sampson Bridge Maintenance at 216 North Blvd., Clinton, NC 28328.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be registered as a North Carolina vendor in good standing and provide their eVP number with their bid submission. Additionally, vendors are required to comply with HUB participation goals by utilizing at least 10% diverse firms as subcontractors. Vendors must also submit proof of authorization from the manufacturer to distribute or resell the products offered.
