Aluminum Box Culvert and Headwalls Procurement for Bridge Maintenance

Background
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking bids for the procurement of Aluminum Box Culvert with Headwalls for Division 6 Columbus Bridge Maintenance. This procurement aims to replace a failing metal culvert located at SR 1005 and Peacock Road in Columbus County. The intent is to award an Agency Specific Contract for this one-time purchase.

Work Details
The contractor will furnish, deliver, and assist with the assembly of Aluminum Box Culvert with Headwalls. The specifications include:

- Compliance with the 2024 Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures.
- All pipes must be inspected, approved, and stamped by an NCDOT Materials & Test inspector.
- The culvert must be fully welded inside and out to headwalls using two root welds and two finish welds on either side of the wall.
- The continuous flat gasket shall be made of closed cell neoprene rubber to provide a watertight seal.
- The vendor must provide all necessary hardware, wale beams, caps, continuous flat gaskets, galvanized steel tieback rods with dead man anchor plates, anchors, lugs, inserts, adjustable turnbuckles, and all other materials necessary to complete the project.

- Delivery is required within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days after receipt of purchase order to NCDOT - Division 6 Whiteville Bridge Office.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence upon receipt of the purchase order. Delivery must occur within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days thereafter.

Place of Performance
Delivery will take place at NCDOT - Division 6 Whiteville Bridge Office located at 31 Airport Road, Whiteville, NC 28472.
