Description

The City of Whitefish is requesting bids to provide and install the following 60 trees around Riverside Pond Red-osier Dogwoods 41S/S Quaking Aspen 7Ponderosa Pine 2M/S Paper Birch 1River Birch 2Western Red Cedar 7 Largest size possible of each species would be best for survivability success against deer & beavers in the area.All trees need to be mulched, staked & caged 8' high.All locations are marked with an orange stake & labeled.City staff will water all trees & shrubs once planted.* All work must be completed by June 30, 2025 Please provide bids to the Public Works Department by the end of the day Friday, May 16th.
Background
The City of Whitefish is seeking bids for a tree planting project around Riverside Pond. The goal of this contract is to enhance the local environment by planting a variety of tree species that will thrive in the area, particularly against challenges posed by deer and beavers.

Work Details
The contractor will provide and install a total of 60 trees around Riverside Pond, specifically:
- 41 Red-osier Dogwoods
- 7 Quaking Aspens
- 2 Ponderosa Pines
- 1 Paper Birch
- 2 River Birches
- 7 Western Red Cedars.

The largest size possible for each species is preferred to ensure survivability. All trees must be mulched, staked, and caged to a height of 8 feet. Each planting location will be marked with an orange stake and labeled. City staff will handle the watering of all trees and shrubs once they are planted.

Period of Performance
All work must be completed by June 30, 2025.
