Overlay Tongue River Road Miles City Area

Background
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is issuing a solicitation for the Overlay of Tongue River Road in the Miles City Area. The goal of this contract is to enhance road safety and longevity through pavement preservation services. MDT's mission includes maintaining and improving the state's transportation infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Mobilization (1 Lump Sum)
2. Supply and application of 1/2" Commercial Plant Mix Grade S PG 58H-34 (8,110 Tons)
3. Cold Milling with an average depth of 0.10' (712 Square Yards)
4. Traffic Control (1 Lump Sum).

Quantities are estimated and may vary based on actual site conditions.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the bid closing date of June 9, 2025, with specific timelines to be determined during contract negotiations.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on Tongue River Road in the Miles City Area, Montana.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the Department of Labor and Industry under sections 39-9-201 and 39-9-204, MCA, prior to contract execution. Bids totaling $150,000 or greater must include a bid proposal security based on 10% of the total bid/offer.

Compliance with various requirements including Bid Security, Contract Performance Security, Owner's and Contractor's Protective Liability Insurance, Worker's Compensation Act, Prevailing Wage requirements, and others as specified in the solicitation is mandatory.
