MSU RFP 26-01Kitchen Exhaust System Cleaning Services

Background
The Montana State Culinary Services Division is seeking proposals for kitchen exhaust system cleaning throughout the MSU-Bozeman Culinary Services Division areas. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and efficiency of kitchen operations by maintaining clean exhaust systems, which are critical for fire prevention and compliance with health codes.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for cleaning kitchen exhaust systems, which includes removing combustible contaminants from all hoods, grease removal devices, blowers, fans, rooftop fans, ducts, ductwork, and other related appurtenances. Regular cleaning is intended to reduce the risk of kitchen fires and enhance the working environment for kitchen staff. It will also improve ventilation for smoke and odor removal, lower insurance premiums, and ensure compliance with local and national fire and health codes.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to continue until all required cleaning services are completed as per the specifications outlined in the RFP.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations within the MSU-Bozeman Culinary Services Division areas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Executive Order No. 12-2016 promoting equal pay for Montana women. They must provide a current W-9 form and submit a detailed cost proposal using the specified format in Attachment 2. Bidders may need to demonstrate financial stability if requested by the University prior to award. Additionally, they should have experience in providing similar services and may be required to provide references.
