The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is seeking bids for contracted noxious weed spraying services in the Golden Valley County Lewistown Area. The goal of this contract is to manage and control noxious weeds, which can negatively impact local ecosystems and agricultural productivity.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for spraying noxious weeds across two designated spray zones:
- Zone 1: 28.42 acres
- Zone 2: 148.61 acres
The estimated quantities of chemicals required for the spraying include:
- 1 gallon of 2-4-D
- 1 gallon of Curtail
- 1 gallon of Dicamba
- 1 pound of Dupont
- 1 gallon of Streamline Escalade
- 1 ounce of Escort
- 1 quart of Esplanade
- 1 quart of Milestone
- 1 pound of Perspective
- 1 ounce of Telar
- 1 gallon of Tordon 22K
- 1 gallon of Transline
- 1 gallon of Vista
- 1 gallon of Surfactant
- 1 gallon of Marker Dye.
Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by June 3, 2025.

Golden Valley County Lewistown Area, Montana.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid MT Pesticide Applicators license certified for applying restricted-use herbicides and must be current in training credits. Additionally, bidders are required to comply with various contractual obligations including insurance requirements and prevailing wage laws.
