Chip Seal Farm to Market Road Kalispell Area

Background
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is seeking bids for the Chip Seal Farm to Market Road project in the Kalispell area. The goal of this contract is to enhance and preserve the pavement on designated farm-to-market roads, ensuring safe and efficient transportation within the region.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following items:

1. Mobilization - 1 Lump Sum (LS)
2. Type 1 Chips - 175,955 Square Yards (SY)
3. Liquid Emulsified Asphalt Grade CHFRS-2P - 336.94 Tons (TN)
4. CSS-1H Fog Seal (50:50 Blend) - 13,860 Gallons (GAL)
5. Waterborne Striping - White - 300 Gallons (GAL)
6. Waterborne Striping - Yellow - 413 Gallons (GAL)
7. Traffic Control - 1 Lump Sum (LS).

Quantities are estimated.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to commence on June 5, 2025, and will close on June 16, 2025.

Place of Performance
Kalispell Area, Montana.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the Department of Labor and Industry under sections 39-9-201 and 39-9-204, MCA, prior to contract execution. Bids of $150,000 or greater must include a bid proposal security based on 10% of the total bid/offer.

Compliance with various requirements including Bid Security, Contract Performance Security, Worker's Compensation Act, and Prevailing Wage requirements is mandatory.
