Canteen-Qualified Vendors List

Background
The State of Montana, Department of Corrections (DOC), is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to establish a qualified vendors list for the provision of goods for the Canteen.
The goal of this contract is to ensure that the DOC has access to a variety of canteen items necessary for its operations, thereby supporting its mission to provide effective correctional services.

Work Details
Vendors are expected to provide a range of canteen supplies including but not limited to:
- Vending - Canteen Supplies (Commodity Code 5202)
- Foods - Meats (Commodity Code 2003)
- Foods - Non-Perishable (Commodity Code 2004)
- Foods - Perishable (Commodity Code 2005)
- Food Services (Commodity Code 2006)
- Health Related - Medical Services (Commodity Code 2613)
- Vending - Food & Beverage (Commodity Code 5203).

Period of Performance
The contract will be open for proposals starting from August 22, 2025, and will close on September 18, 2025.
The specific period of performance for the awarded contract will be determined based on the proposals received.

Place of Performance
The geographic location for the performance of this contract will primarily be within facilities operated by the Montana Department of Corrections.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with various prerequisites including:
- Completion and upload of a Business Information document
- Compliance with food standards
- Agreement to the Scope of Services document.
Additionally, bidders must certify compliance with Executive Order No. 12-2016 regarding Equal Pay for Montana Women to potentially receive bonus points.
Offerors must also confirm they do not discriminate against firearm entities or trade associations as per MCA provisions.
