Springwood Sewer Collection System Individual Grinder Pump Installations

Background
The Hancock County Utility Authority is issuing a Request for Qualifications for the Springwood Sewer Collection System Project. The goal of this project is to install individual grinder pumps at each residence, which will connect to a low-pressure sewer system. This system will transport wastewater to a central wastewater pump station and subsequently to an existing HCWSD pump station, ultimately directing it to the Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility for proper treatment. The contract may be funded in part by grants from the RESTORE Council and the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality under the RESTORE Act.

Work Details
The selected firm will be responsible for providing engineering services related to the installation of individual grinder pumps at each residence. These pumps will connect to a low-pressure sewer system that will pump wastewater to a proposed central wastewater pump station, which will then transport the wastewater to an existing HCWSD pump station and finally to the Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon selection and continue until completion, with qualifications due by September 23, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Hancock County, Mississippi, specifically at residential locations within the Springwood Sewer Collection System Project area.

Bidder Requirements
Engineering firms or individuals must submit a list of their qualifications, experience, and capacity for performance. They are required to provide the name of a primary contact person and designate an individual responsible for rendering services if selected. Minority and women-owned business enterprises are encouraged to submit qualifications and explore subcontracting opportunities.
