Sole Source Procurement for Hologic Aptima HIV-1 Quant Assay Kits and Reagents

Background
The Mississippi State Department of Health is seeking to purchase Hologic Aptima HIV-1 Quant Assay Kits and Reagents as a sole source procurement.

The Mississippi Public Health Laboratory (MPHL) currently operates two Hologic Panther instruments, which are automated platforms used for various tests including chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV NAAT, Hepatitis C NAAT, and SARS-CoV-2.

The goal of this procurement is to expand the testing capabilities of the MPHL to include Trichomonas vaginalis, HIV-1, and Hepatitis C testing on human patients.

Work Details
The following products are to be purchased:
- 50 cases of Aptima Trichomonas vaginalis Assay (ATV), 250 Test at $1,500.00 each totaling $75,000.00.
- 50 cases of Aptima Trichomonas vaginalis Controls Kit (5 positive and 5 negative controls per kit) at no charge.
- 10 cases of Aptima HIV-1 Quant, US TVD, 100 tests at $3,500.00 each totaling $35,000.00.
- Aptima HIV-1 Quant Calibrator Kit (5 runs) at no charge.
- Aptima HIV-1 Quant Control Kit (5 runs) at no charge.
- 6 cases of Aptima HCV Quant Dx Assay Kit, 100 tests at $3,500.00 each totaling $21,500.00.
- Aptima HCV Quant Dx Control Kit (5 runs) at no charge.
- Aptima HCV Quant Dx Calibrator Kit (5 runs) at no charge.

The total estimated cost for these kits and reagents is $131,500.00 per year.

Period of Performance
The contract will be in effect for a term of twelve (12) months.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to the Mississippi Public Health Laboratory located in Jackson, MS.
