Sealed RFP Submission for Utility Services in Jackson County

Background
The Jackson County Utility Authority (JCUA) is seeking proposals for a contractor to furnish and install one (1) 80’L x 40’W x 14’H Pole Barn, with an alternate second 80’L x 40’W x 14’H Pole Barn at the Jackson County Utility Authority Hwy 63 Facility parking lot located at 8925 MS-Hwy 63, Moss Point, MS.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the completion of the pole barn installation within a specified timeframe and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and permits necessary for the installation of the pole barns. The specifications include:
- Construction of one (1) Pole Barn measuring 80 feet long, 40 feet wide, and 14 feet high.
- An optional second Pole Barn of the same dimensions.
- Roof specifications: a slope of 4/12” and prepped for future gutters using 29-gauge Gavalume Tuff Rib or an approved equivalent roofing material with metal purlins.
- Use of 8” x 8” posts with a barrier between the concrete.
- Installation must meet wind load requirements of at least 150+ mph.
- The completed structure must be free from leaks.
- Working hours are Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 4:30 PM.
- The project must be completed within 90 calendar days from the original notice to proceed, with penalties for delays.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within a period of 90 calendar days from the original written notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Jackson County Utility Authority Hwy 63 Facility parking lot located at 8925 MS-Hwy 63, Moss Point, MS.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must indicate their Certificate of Responsibility Number on proposals exceeding $50,000 as required by Mississippi Law. Non-resident contractors must provide information regarding their state's treatment of non-resident contractors or a statement if no such law exists. Additionally, JCUA encourages participation from small businesses and minority/women-owned enterprises (MWBEs).
