Sealed Bids for City Center Water, Sewer & Drainage Improvements - Hoy Road Water Well Project

Background
The City of Madison is issuing a solicitation for competitive sealed bids for the City Center Water, Sewer & Drainage Improvements project, specifically the Hoy Road Water Well.

This project aims to enhance the city's water infrastructure and is supported by federal assistance under the U.S. Treasury’s regulations governing ARPA. The City is committed to ensuring that disadvantaged and women-owned business enterprises have equal opportunities in the bidding process.

Work Details
The project consists of the construction of a 2,500 GPM potable water well, which includes the following components:
- Water treatment buildings
- A generator
- General site work.

Bidders are required to submit a Bid Bond or Certified Check equal to 5% of their bid amount as bid security. Additionally, successful bidders must provide both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each amounting to 100% of the contract value upon execution.

Period of Performance
The contract time is set for 540 calendar days from the date of execution. There is a provision for liquidated damages of $750 per calendar day for any delays beyond this period.

The work will be performed at the Hoy Road Water Well site located in Madison, MS.
