Sealed Bid Submission for Alcorn School District

Background
The Alcorn School District is seeking proposals for an E-Rate Category 2 Project to upgrade its eligible equipment, cabling, managed services, and basic maintenance. The goal of this contract is to enhance the internal connections and broadband services within the district, ensuring compliance with E-Rate funding requirements. This project aims to support the district's technology plan and future growth.

Work Details
The contract will cover the following components:

1) Cabling: All copper cabling must be Category 6 rated, including necessary components such as patch cables, patch panels, jacks, and racks. Proposals should include installation costs and a 20-year warranty.

2) Equipment: Vendors must provide new equipment from authorized resellers, including switches (preferably Juniper), UPSs (CyberPower), access points (Juniper), and firewalls (Fortinet). All equipment must be configured according to the district's specifications.

3) Managed Internal Broadband Services: Proposals should include hourly rates for onsite and remote support, with contracts based on blocks of hours billed as needed.

4) Basic Maintenance: This includes manufacturer support for E-Rate eligible hardware listed in the RFP. Proposals must also account for any necessary training and technical support.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a term of five years from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2031. If funding is not received by July 1, 2026, the contract will commence upon notification of funding approval.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within the Alcorn School District in Corinth and Glen, Mississippi.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a Letter of Intent to Bid by February 16, 2026. Attendance at a mandatory vendor meeting on February 20, 2026, is required for eligibility. Bidders must provide documentation of their certifications, an E-Rate SPIN number, references for similar projects, proof of liability insurance, and workers' compensation insurance within ten days of award. All work must be completed by the awarded vendor without subcontracting.
