Safety Improvements for Longleaf Trace: Clearing, Striping & Signage Project

Background
The Pearl & Leaf Rivers Rails to Trails Recreational District, located in Forrest, Lamar, and Jefferson Davis Counties, Mississippi, is issuing a solicitation for safety improvements along the Longleaf Trace.

This project is designated as Federal Aid Project No. STP-0210-00(031)LPA/107115-701000 and aims to enhance the safety of recreational trails in the area.

Work Details
The contract work includes upgrades of intersections along the route between Hattiesburg and Prentiss.

Specific tasks involve random clearings, grubbing, striping of roadways, installation of signage, and implementation of a pedestrian detection system. Additionally, speed limit alert signage equipped with radar will be installed. The contractor is responsible for performing all work and providing all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and adhering to specifications outlined in the contract documents.
