RFP/RFQ for Security Assessment Services

Background
The Mississippi Department of Public Safety (MDPS) is seeking to procure Security Assessment Services for the Office of Capitol Police. This initiative aims to enhance the security of critical government facilities located on or near the Mississippi Capitol Complex. The contract resulting from this solicitation requires approval from the Public Procurement Review Board (PPRB).

Work Details
The contractor will conduct comprehensive security assessments of designated buildings, including the Mississippi State Capitol, Walter Sillers Building, Gartin Justice Building, and Governor’s Mansion.

The assessments will evaluate security measures such as ingress and egress points, security cameras, access controls, screening procedures, and staffing. Recommendations may include increased patrols, installation of monitoring devices, physical barriers, and architectural improvements to enhance security without compromising historical significance.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a period of 12 months with an option for two successive one-year renewals, subject to PPRB approval.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations within the Mississippi Capitol Complex in Jackson, MS.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must have at least five years of experience providing similar security assessment services and maintain a pool of qualified workers. They are required to provide two references from previous contracts involving similar services. Additionally, all vendors must be registered with the State of Mississippi and comply with various insurance requirements.
