Background
The Mississippi State Port Authority at Gulfport (MSPA), an enterprise agency of the State of Mississippi, is seeking proposals for designation as its Information Technology Services Provider. The MSPA aims to enhance IT effectiveness, improve service quality for employees, minimize downtime and technical support costs, ensure data security and compliance with records retention requirements, and maximize return on investment in IT hardware and software.
Work Details
The selected vendor will provide a comprehensive range of Information Technology Services at two locations. Key services include:
1. Help Desk Support: Manage and track support issues, provide online ticket submission, remote and onsite support during business hours, and 24/7 emergency support.
2. Desktop Support: Install PCs, laptops, printers; diagnose application problems; configure devices for standard applications.
3. Server Management: Provide 24/7 monitoring, Windows patching, user management, and installation of new servers/software.
4. Security Services: Maintain virus detection programs, manage firewalls, and provide a Security Operations Center for threat monitoring.
5. Software Management: Oversee MSPA software and third-party applications; ensure all users are on Microsoft Office 365.
6. Strategic Planning: Provide recommendations for technology needs and potential savings.
7. Backup & Disaster Recovery: Include backup solutions with retention policies.
Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to begin on April 1, 2026, for a total duration of three years with an option to renew for two additional years.
Place of Performance
Services will be provided at two locations associated with the Mississippi State Port Authority in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must demonstrate experience in cybersecurity and networking. They should have dedicated resources with relevant certifications and pass national criminal background checks. The vendor must not subcontract any portion of the services without prior written consent from MSPA.
