Request for Proposals: Telehealth and On-Site Psychiatrist Services

Background
North Mississippi State Hospital is seeking to hire up to two (2) Board Certified/Board Eligible Telehealth Psychiatrists as Contract Workers. The goal of this contract is to provide psychiatric care to patients, residents, and clients during various hours, including weekends and holidays.

Work Details
The contract includes the following duties: providing psychiatric care to patients/residents/clients during and after hours, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum qualifications for applicants include:
- A verifiable Doctor of Medicine Degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of at least two (2) years of residency in psychiatric medicine, family medicine, or internal medicine.
- A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Mississippi.
- A current registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Applicants must also submit at least two (2) peer references. Prior to employment, candidates must provide proof of professional liability insurance with coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate; be credentialed by the MSH Medical Staff; pass a criminal background check; and pass a urine drug screen. The contract workers will work an average of 20 hours per week at an hourly rate of $200.00.

Period of Performance
The contract will extend from March 6, 2025, to June 30, 2029.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at North Mississippi State Hospital located at 1937 Briar Ridge Road, Tupelo, MS 38804.
