Proposal Solicitation for Tornado Shelter Construction in Marshall County, MS

Background
Marshall County, Mississippi has experienced significant damage due to an EF-3 Tornado and severe weather event occurring between April 2, 2025, and April 6, 2025. This event has resulted in widespread public services damage, overwhelming the existing resources of the County. The Board of Supervisors is seeking a qualified Contractor to address these urgent needs through this Emergency Request for Proposal (RFP).

Work Details
The selected Contractor will be responsible for providing Tornado Debris Removal Monitoring Services related to the severe storms and tornadoes that occurred from April 2-6, 2025. This includes assessing and managing the removal of vegetation and other debris resulting from the tornado. The Contractor must ensure that all work is conducted efficiently and effectively to restore public services.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence immediately following the selection of a contractor and will continue until all debris removal tasks are completed satisfactorily.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Marshall County, Mississippi, specifically in areas affected by the tornado.

Bidder Requirements
Proposals must be properly certified by the bidding entity and signed by an authorized officer. Bidders are required to submit one copy of their proposal in a sealed envelope marked with the title 'APRIL 2-6, 2025 STORMS' to the Marshall County Administrator's office. A list of references must also be included in the proposal.
