Invitation for Bids: Charnley House Project

Background
The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) is seeking sealed bids for the Charnley House/Bon Silene Project. This project aims to provide landscaping, light carpentry, and light electrical services to the grounds of the Charnley-Norwood House in Ocean Springs, MS. It is part of MDMR's mission to enhance and maintain historical sites within the state.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Landscaping, including planting and sod work
- Light carpentry
- Light electrical services
- Path reconstructions
- Irrigation work as specified in the contract documents.

The project requires adherence to safety measures while working around historical landmarks. Bidders must demonstrate prior experience in similar projects and provide a list of their relevant experience as part of their submission.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed, anticipated in November 2025. The successful contractor will have 210 calendar days to complete all construction activities, beginning work within seven days of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Charnley-Norwood House located in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a valid Certificate of Responsibility issued by the State of Mississippi for the type of work to be performed. They are required to submit an original bid along with two copies and one PDF copy on a flash drive. Non-resident bidders must provide documentation regarding their state's laws on contractor preferences. Performance bonds are not required for this project.
