Work Details
The successful bidder will be responsible for procuring and delivering food items to the following locations: Mississippi State Penitentiary, Marshall County Correctional Facility, Walnut Grove Correctional Facility, Central Mississippi Correctional Facility and Youth Offender Unit, Mississippi Correctional Institute for Women, South Mississippi Correctional Institution, Delta Correctional Facility, eight Community Work Centers, three Pre-Release Centers, and any future MDOC facilities.
Weekly deliveries must occur Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM CST. All frozen items must be delivered at zero degrees Fahrenheit or below; refrigerated items must be between 35°-40° Fahrenheit. The contract requires pricing based on 'Per Inmate Per Day' (PIPD) for three meals per day per inmate. Bidders must also provide a four-week menu cycle with nutritional analysis and comply with USDA commodity utilization requirements.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence on March 1, 2026, and conclude on February 28, 2029. It may be renewed for up to two additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement at least ninety days prior to the contract anniversary date.
Place of Performance
Food products will be delivered to various MDOC facilities located throughout Mississippi.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate their ability to deliver food products as specified in the IFB. They are required to provide two years of certified financial statements, proof of insurance including workers' compensation and general liability coverage, and a performance bond of $1,000,000.
