Food Service Management RFP for School District

Background
The McComb School District is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Food Service Management to secure sealed proposals from qualified bidders. The goal of this contract is to provide effective food service management that meets the nutritional needs of students within the district, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Work Details
The selected Food Service Management Company (FSMC) will be responsible for managing food services across multiple schools within the McComb School District. This includes providing meals that meet USDA nutritional guidelines, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

The FSMC will also be expected to develop menus, manage inventory, and oversee food procurement processes. Specific schools involved include: KenneDay Childhood Center, Summit Elementary School, other elementary schools, Hinds High School, McComb High School, and the Business & Technology Complex. The FSMC must also provide detailed financial plans based on proposals submitted.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on July 1, 2026, following the award of the contract on May 12, 2026. The duration of the contract will be determined during negotiations but is anticipated to last for one year with potential extensions.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the McComb School District in Mississippi.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit proposals that include proof of insurance and relevant certifications. They should demonstrate experience in managing school food services and compliance with local health regulations.

Additionally, all proposals must be sealed and labeled appropriately as specified in the RFP documentation.
