Engineering Services for Sewer Infrastructure Project CDBG Application Support

Background
The City of Fulton is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for a sewer infrastructure project application. This project may receive funding from the HUD - Community Development Block Grant and/or other federal and state funding agencies. The goal is to prepare a comprehensive application that includes a preliminary cost estimate and, if awarded, to provide ongoing engineering services throughout the project lifecycle.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Preparing a preliminary cost estimate and preliminary engineering report;
2) If the grant is awarded, preparing plans and specifications;
3) Distributing bid documents;
4) Assisting in bid opening and preparing bid tabulation;
5) Assisting in the execution of construction contracts;
6) Holding a preconstruction conference;
7) Performing construction inspection including periodic reports to the City of Fulton and approving all payment requests.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed upon award of the grant and will continue through project closeout, subject to compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Fulton, Mississippi.

Bidder Requirements
The City of Fulton encourages proposals from Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Woman-owned Business Enterprises (WBEs), and Section 3 eligible businesses. Proposals must include detailed qualifications of assigned personnel, information on the firm's experience with similar projects, including grants awarded.
