Engineering Services for Infrastructure Project Funding Application

Background
The City of Houston is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for an infrastructure project application that may receive funding from the HUD - Community Development Block Grant and/or other federal funding agencies.

The goal of this contract is to prepare necessary documentation and provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Preparing a preliminary cost estimate and preliminary engineering report;
2) If the grant is awarded, preparing plans and specifications;
3) Distributing bid documents;
4) Assisting in bid opening and preparing bid tabulation;
5) Assisting in the execution of construction contracts;
6) Holding a preconstruction conference;
7) Performing construction inspection, including periodic reports to the City of Houston and approving all payment requests.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed upon award of the grant and will continue through project closeout, with specific timelines to be determined based on project requirements.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Houston, Mississippi.
