Engineering Services for FY 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project Implementation

Background
The City of Magee, Mississippi, is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for the implementation of approved FY 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) projects. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the engineering services comply with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies.

Work Details
The selected Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:

1) Prepare project cost estimates and preliminary design documents for application preparation;
2) Prepare plans and specifications;
3) Distribute bid documents;
4) Assist in bid opening and prepare bid tabulation;
5) Assist in the execution of construction contracts;
6) Hold pre-construction conferences;
7) Perform construction inspections including periodic reports to the City and approve all payment requests.

The Engineer will provide all engineering services through project closeout.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed during the FY 2026 timeframe, with specific dates to be determined upon award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Magee, Mississippi.

Bidder Requirements
The City encourages proposals from Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Woman-owned Business Enterprises (WBEs), and Section 3 eligible businesses. Proposals must include detailed qualifications of assigned personnel, information on the firm's experience with similar projects, and capacity for performance including staff assignments.
