Construction Project: Water System Expansion - Sealed Bids Invited

Background
The TOWN OF MYRTLE, MS is inviting sealed bids for the construction of the WATER SYSTEM EXPANSION. The project involves constructing approximately 3,000 linear feet of new waterline. The advertisement encourages minority and women’s business enterprises to bid as prime contractors and to inquire about potential subcontracting opportunities and supply needs.

Work Details
The project consists of constructing approximately 3,000 linear feet of new waterline. The BID SCHEDULE can be examined at specific locations, and the Contract Documents and Plans can be viewed and/or purchased at Engineering Solutions, Inc. plan room at www.esiplans.com.
Bidders are required to mark each bid with 'Water System Expansion' on the outside of the envelope. Additionally, a satisfactory Bid Bond or certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted with each bid.

Period of Performance
Bids may be held up to 90 days from the date of opening for review of bids and qualifications of bidders prior to Contract award.
