Construction of Multi-Use Path Along Steed Road and Highland Colony Parkway

Background
The City of Ridgeland, located in Madison County, Mississippi, is issuing a solicitation for the construction of a new multi-use path along Steed Road and Highland Colony Parkway. This project is part of Federal Aid Project No. STP-0213-00(037) LPA/109472/701000, aimed at enhancing local infrastructure and promoting safe transportation options for pedestrians and cyclists.

Work Details
The work includes the construction of a 0.42 mile long, 10-feet wide asphalt multi-use path that will connect to existing paths at both ends of the project on Steed Road.

Additional work involves the installation of necessary storm drains, retaining walls, and all other related items required to complete the project as specified in the Construction Plans and Contract Documents. The contractor is responsible for performing all work and providing all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and plant as per the specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed by March 31, 2026.

The construction will take place along Steed Road and Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland, Madison County, Mississippi.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Cashier’s check, Certified Check on a solvent bank or a Bidder’s Bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in Mississippi, amounting to five percent (5%) of the total bid price as bid security.

A current financial statement may also be requested by the City. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Additionally, disadvantaged and women’s business enterprises will be given full opportunity to submit bids without discrimination.
