Background
Webster County School District (WCSD) is seeking qualified vendors to provide a comprehensive English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum for Grades 6–12. The goal of this contract is to enhance educational outcomes by incorporating culturally diverse literature and offering flexible, differentiated instruction that supports English Learners. The curriculum will serve 500 students and 12 teachers across two high schools.
Work Details
The selected curriculum must include:
1. Literature Diversity and Engagement: A wide range of culturally relevant texts reflecting diverse identities, cultures, and perspectives, along with multimedia content (videos, audio, digital text) aligned to literary selections.
2. Differentiation and Acceleration: Embedded scaffolds that adapt lessons to students’ conceptual understanding and content/pacing options for accelerated learners and struggling readers.
3. Instructional Flexibility: Support for multiple instructional pathways (e.g., thematic units, novel studies), accessibility online and offline from any device, and a digital platform for teachers to create or modify instructional content.
4. Support for English Language Learners: 20+ lessons per unit specifically designed for English Learners, instruction for four proficiency levels (Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, Advanced High), explicit instruction in vocabulary, grammar, spelling, language acquisition, comprehension, and tailored performance tasks.
5. Technology Integration: Compatibility with district devices/systems and integration with the district’s student information system (SIS).
6. Professional Development and Training: Onboarding and ongoing professional development for educators along with access to virtual training resources.
Period of Performance
Services shall be provided during the 2025-2026 school year.
Place of Performance
Webster County School District identified sites in Eupora, Mississippi.

Applicants must comply with all applicable licensing and certification requirements specific to the proposed services. They must be registered through www.sam.gov and agree to the terms/agreement set forth by the school district’s school board attorney.
