Bid for One or More Used Hydraulic Excavators

Background
The Rankin County Board of Supervisors is seeking bids for the procurement of one or more used hydraulic excavators to support the Rankin County Unit System. The goal of this contract is to acquire equipment that meets specific operational requirements, ensuring efficiency and reliability in county operations.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of one (1) or more used hydraulic excavators, specifically 2021 models with between 2,800 to 3,800 hours of operation. The excavators must meet the following specifications:

- Engine with at least 162 hp (121 kW) net power.
- Lift capacity over the front at ground level must meet specified weight requirements for different boom lengths.
- Maximum digging depth and reach must adhere to specified measurements.
- Operating weight must be at least 49,400 lbs.
- Must comply with US EPA Tier 4 Final emission standards.
- Delivery of equipment must occur within thirty (30) days upon receipt of purchase order.
- Additional features include a configurable joystick system, advanced hydraulic systems, and various operator station specifications.

Period of Performance
The unpriced bid proposals are due by May 27, 2026. The electronic reverse auction will take place on June 3, 2026.

Place of Performance
The delivery location for the hydraulic excavators is designated as the Rankin County Unit System Barn.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit unpriced proposals that include complete manufacturer specifications and a signed prequalification form. Compliance with delivery terms is mandatory, and no exceptions are permitted.
