Adair Avenue Water Main Replacement, 2nd Rebid (Project No 74-24)

Background
The City of Indianola, Mississippi is issuing a contract for the Adair Avenue Water Main Replacement, 2nd Rebid Project No. 74-24. The project aims to replace existing water mains to improve the city's water infrastructure and service delivery.

Work Details
The contract includes the following principal items of work:

- 1847 LF of 6” C-900 PVC Water Main
- 105 LF of 6” HDPE Pipe (DR11) via Directional Bore
- 520 LF of ¾” Service Line
- 380 LF of 2” PVC Encasement (Bored)
- 16 Water Service Reconnections (Complete in place)
- 2 Tie-ins to Existing Water System
- 4 each of 6” Gate Valves with Box
- 4 each of Fire Hydrant Assemblies (Complete)

Additional tasks include:

- Saw cutting pavement/driveways (100 LF variable depth)
- Removing and replacing asphalt pavement (125 SY)
- Concrete drive (100 SY)
- Concrete sidewalk (50 SY)
- Concrete curb & gutter (100 SY)
- Borrow excavation (100 CY CLASS 9 FM)
- Seeding and mulching (0.25 acres)
- Installation of a 6” Tapping Sleeve and Valve with Box (1 each)
- Tree removal (7 each).

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be performed from the bid opening date on February 9, 2026, until completion as specified in the contract documents.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Indianola, Mississippi.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Section 31-3-21 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 for projects exceeding $50,000 and must possess a 'Certificate of Responsibility' license. Bids must include security deposits as specified in the Notice and Instructions to Bidders. Additionally, contractors are required to complete the Certification of Non-Segregated Facilities included in the specifications.
