2024 CDBG Water System Improvements Project Sallis, MS

Background
The Town of Sallis, Mississippi, is issuing a solicitation for the construction of the 2024 CDBG Water System Improvements Project. This project aims to enhance the local water system infrastructure, aligning with the agency's mission to provide reliable and safe water services to its residents.

Work Details
The project includes the following work:

Base Bid - Installation of a new potable-water booster station which consists of a 6,000-gallon collector tank, a 4,000-gallon hydropneumatic tank, a hydropneumatic-tank control panel, 100-gpm service pumps, gate valves, check valves, tie-ins to existing waterline, and yard piping.

Additive Alternates include:
- 610-limestone gravel for driveway
- Chain-link fence installation
- Tree removal
- Stump removal and disposal
- Rough grading.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed until May 8, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations in Sallis, Mississippi.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. The project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act requirements. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid as prime contractors. The successful bidder must also comply with the Davis-Bacon Act regarding labor rates.
