Visitors Guide Printing

Background
The City of Joplin, Missouri, is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the printing of the 2025 Joplin Visitors Guide. The Joplin Convention and Visitors Bureau aims to produce a high-quality guide that promotes tourism in the area, providing essential information to visitors. This contract is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the visibility and attractiveness of Joplin as a travel destination.

Work Details
The contractor will provide offset printing and binding services for 30,000 copies of the Joplin Visitors Guide, which consists of 64 pages (60 pages plus cover). The specifications for the project include:

1. Quantity: 30,000 copies.
2. Total pages: 64 (60 pages plus cover).
3. Flat dimensions: 11 inches wide by 8.5 inches tall.
4. Finished dimensions: 5.5 inches wide by 8.5 inches tall.
5. Binding method: Saddle-stitched twice on the spine.
6. Cover stock: 80 lb. gloss cover; text stock: 60 lb. dull text (must be writable).
7. Ink colors: Four colors.
8. Two proof copies required before final printing approval.
9. Delivery must include paper samples with the bid.
10. Box weight limit: No single box can exceed 25 lbs; pallet weight limit: no single pallet can exceed 2,000 lbs.
11. Boxes must be labeled with quantity and 'Visit Joplin Visitors Guide 2025'.
12. All production must occur within the United States.

Period of Performance
The contract period will begin upon approval of the contract on March 18, 2025, following vendor selection on March 7, 2025, and is expected to conclude upon delivery of all printed materials.

Place of Performance
The printing services will be performed in the United States, with delivery to Joplin City Hall at 602 S. Main Street, Joplin, MO 64801.
