Sealed Bid Public Safety Uniforms

Background
The City of Mexico is issuing a solicitation for sealed bids for the provision of summer and winter uniforms for approximately 44 employees in the Public Safety Department. The goal of this contract is to ensure that public safety officers are equipped with appropriate uniforms, which may be adjusted based on changes in staffing levels.

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to waive formalities in the bidding process.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following uniforms and accessories:

**Shirts:**
- Women's Long Sleeve Shirts: Blauer style 8670 (Navy Blue, Light Blue)
- Women's Short Sleeve Shirts: Blauer style 8675 (Navy Blue, Light Blue)
- Men's Long Sleeve Shirts: Blauer style 8670 (Navy Blue, Light Blue)
- Men's Short Sleeve Shirts: Blauer style 8675 (Navy Blue, Light Blue)
*All shirts must include department patches and rank patches sewn on.*

**Pants:**
- Women's Trousers: Blauer style 8650 (Navy Blue)
- Men's Trousers: Blauer style 8650 (Navy Blue)
*All pants must be hemmed according to ordered size, machine washable, and designed with four pockets (no side pockets).*

**Winter Coats:**
- Blauer three-season waist-length jacket with removable liner (Navy Blue) with department patches and rank patches sewn on.

**Raincoats:**
- Yellow/black reversible raincoats with hoods and reflective striping.

**Accessories:**
- Broome Uniform Clip-on Ties (18" with button hole feature, Navy Blue).
- Fleece-lined Watch Caps (traditional style, Navy Blue).
- Baseball Caps (Navy Blue) with embroidered mini emblem.
*Department emblems to be sewn on each sleeve; costs for new emblems must be included in the bid.*

**Police Accessories:**
1. Duty handgun holsters - Safariland model 7280 7TS SLS mid-ride.
2. Duty belts - black plain leather with nickel and gold buckles.
3. Trouser belts - black plain leather, buckle-less Velcro inner belt.
4. OC holsters - black plain leather.
5. Handcuff case - black plain leather.
6. Magazine holster - black plain leather for Glock 45.
7. Belt keepers - black plain leather.
8. Collar brass - size 7/16" in nickel and gold.
9. Name plates - in both nickel and gold.
10. Additional collar brass examples and service stars as specified.
*All orders shall be packaged by individual officer's name.*

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is one year from March 9, 2026, through February 28, 2027, with two additional one-year renewal options subject to mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the City of Mexico, Missouri.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide pricing for specified brands or comparable equivalents as listed in the solicitation. All uniforms are to be ready wear available; no substitutions are permitted unless previously discussed and accepted by the Department head or designate.
