RFQ 2773-30 Insurance Broker Services for Medical, Dental, Supplemental and WellCare Provider

Background
The City of Branson, Missouri is seeking qualified firms to provide insurance broker services for municipal insurance needs. The goal is to act as the City’s insurance agent for employee medical, group life, dental, vision, supplemental insurance, and wellness program provider. The City aims to engage experienced firms with a proven track record in servicing municipal insurance requirements.

Work Details
The selected firm will be responsible for:

1. Facilitating benefits renewal meetings and analyzing insurance specifications and underwriting data.

2. Determining the best carrier(s) for the City’s needs and implementing appropriate coverage at competitive rates.

3. Collecting necessary information to market plans and preparing applications for underwriters.

4. Presenting specifications to the marketplace and requesting quotations for specified coverage.

5. Analyzing underwriter quotations to ensure adherence to specifications and fair pricing.

6. Submitting proposals with comparative analyses of costs and coverage options every three years or as requested by the City.

7. Binding coverage upon City approval and ensuring clear communication of terms and conditions in invoices.

8. Reviewing obtained coverage for appropriateness in terms, limits, and premiums.

9. Providing an insurance coverage summary including effective dates, policy limits, exclusions, and annual premiums.

10. Assisting with claims settlement and providing ongoing support to Human Resources staff.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a term of one year with an option to renew each year based on performance.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed in Branson, Missouri.
