RFB 2026-010 Street Survey

Background
The City of Nevada, Missouri is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB # 2026-010) for a Pavement Condition Survey. The purpose of this survey is to collect data that will help determine the structural integrity, distresses, and overall riding quality of the pavement within the city. This initiative aims to provide a rational and consistent method for allocating limited resources for street maintenance projects.

Work Details
The contractor will perform a comprehensive Pavement Condition Survey that includes:

1. Utilizing an approach and methodology that ensures complete and accurate data collection, complying with specified processes and quality control measures.

2. Assessing arterial roads (both principal and minor) which may have lane stripes and are generally two lanes, while local roads and cul-de-sacs typically do not have lane stripes.

3. Collecting pavement condition data in both directions of travel across all lanes.

4. Reporting measurements block to block (centerline to centerline), including all pavement defects such as utility cuts.

5. Delivering one hard copy set and one electronic set of collected data in Microsoft Excel format upon completion of each phase of data collection.

6. Providing a written report detailing when and how the data was collected and verified for accuracy in both hard copy and electronic format (Microsoft Word).

Period of Performance
The contract must be completed within four (4) months after the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The survey will be conducted throughout the City of Nevada, Missouri.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all local, State, and Federal laws. This project is designated as a Prevailing Wage job, requiring adherence to prevailing wage standards. Additionally, contractors must hold a current business license issued by the City of Nevada, furnish a Performance and Payment Bond equal to the contract amount, and provide proof of General Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance with coverage limits of at least $2 million per occurrence.
