REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) OA FMDC OPERATION-FY25-0059-SL: Janitorial Services - Jefferson City (JLJC250081)

Background
The State of Missouri's Office of Administration, Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction (FMDC) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for janitorial services at the state-leased building located at 1659 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO.

The goal of this contract is to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for the building's tenants and visitors. The building has approximately 41,295 square feet and houses around 172 full-time employees with about 25 visitors per week. The current contract for janitorial services is held by RK Janitorial Service at a rate of $0.139 per square foot.

Work Details
The contractor must provide comprehensive janitorial services including but not limited to: daily cleaning tasks five days a week, weekly tasks every seven days, monthly tasks within the first ten business days of each month, and semi-annual tasks as specified.

Specific duties include emptying trash containers, cleaning glass surfaces, vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping floors, disinfecting restrooms, and maintaining cleanliness in kitchens/breakrooms. The contractor must also manage secure areas in the building and perform additional services as requested by the state agency. All equipment used must be commercial grade and environmentally preferable products should be utilized where possible.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will last for one year.

Services will be performed at 1659 East Elm Street, Jefferson City (Cole County), MO 65101.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least two years of experience providing janitorial services for office buildings of similar size. They must ensure that their personnel are properly trained and supervised. The contractor's contact person must reside within 45 miles of the service location and be available during normal business hours for communication with state agency personnel.
