Background
The State of Missouri's Office of Administration, Division of Facilities Management, Design, & Construction is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) for janitorial services at the Landers State Office Building located at 149 Park Central Square, Springfield, Missouri. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for the building's tenants and the general public. The building houses approximately 350 full-time employees and has a total cleanable area of approximately 75,460 square feet.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide comprehensive janitorial services including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual cleaning tasks as specified in the RFP. Daily tasks include emptying waste containers, cleaning restrooms and break rooms, vacuuming carpets, sweeping hard surfaces, mopping floors with disinfectant, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.

Weekly tasks involve washing wastebaskets and cleaning outdoor areas around the building. Monthly tasks include deep carpet cleaning and machine scrubbing of floors. Quarterly tasks involve cleaning office partition glass and dusting walls. Semi-annual tasks require deep cleaning carpets and thorough floor maintenance.

The contractor must also provide personnel with specific qualifications such as Day Porters/Matrons, a Working Supervisor, and a Floor Care Specialist to ensure all services are performed satisfactorily.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from the date of award through one (1) year.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of two years' experience providing janitorial services for office buildings with at least 75,460 square feet. They must also have experience working with state or federal governmental buildings. Vendors must be registered in MissouriBUYS in an 'Approved' status to submit proposals and comply with all local business registration requirements.
