Lawn Care Services 2025

Background
The Jefferson County Department of Administrative Services is issuing an Invitation for Bid for Lawn Care Services for the year 2025.

The Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for overseeing this contract, which aims to maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of county facilities through professional lawn care services. The goal is to ensure that all grass areas are properly maintained throughout the growing season, enhancing the overall appearance and usability of public spaces.

Work Details
The contractor will provide professional lawn care services, which include:
1. Mowing and trimming all grass areas within property lines of county facilities, ensuring a height of three inches.
2. Trimming around stationary objects to a height of one inch.
3. Providing weed and grass control, keeping areas around building foundations, sidewalks, roads, and other structures free from grass or weeds. Chemical control requires prior written authorization from the Director of Parks and Recreation.
4. Neatly edging along flat surfaces such as sidewalks and parking areas after each mowing session to avoid scalping or uneven lines.
5. Bagging or composting clippings as necessary to maintain cleanliness.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on April 1, 2025, and conclude on October 1, 2025, with an option for two additional one-year renewals upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Lawn care services will be performed at various county facilities located in Jefferson County, Missouri.
