Gravel Rd. Paving 1-Ridge, Sugar Creek, & Smith Hatchery

Background
Boone County, Missouri is issuing a formal request for bids for the Gravel Road Paving Project. This project aims to prepare existing gravel roads for asphalt paving and encompasses Ridge Rd., Sugar Creek Dr., and Smith Hatchery Rd. The goal is to enhance the infrastructure within Boone County to improve transportation and accessibility.

Work Details
The project includes preparation work necessary for asphalt paving on existing gravel roads. Specific tasks include:
- Removal and replacement of various driveway culverts and cross road culverts;
- Filling, grading, and compaction of a proposed aggregate road base;
- Installation of a 3" thick Bituminous Base asphalt lift;
- Installation of a 2" thick BP-2 asphalt surface;
- Ditch grading;
- Erosion control;
- Restoration; and
- Centerline striping.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 75 working days, with an anticipated notice to proceed date ranging from May 4, 2026, to June 15, 2026.

The work will be conducted on Ridge Rd., Sugar Creek Dr., and Smith Hatchery Rd. in Boone County, Missouri.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with prevailing wage laws as determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. They are required to provide proof of insurance including Employers Liability and Workers Compensation Insurance, Commercial General Liability Insurance, and Business Automobile Liability Insurance. Additionally, bidders must ensure compliance with minority business enterprise participation requirements.
